It should come as no surprise but here’s yet another example of Big Tobacco and the flat out lies that they tell to continue selling their products. This article from earlier in August outlines how Big Tobacco is, “FURIOUS and are resorting to a lot of different tactics to defeat it, including outright smears. Knowing they’re likely to lose this battle, they’re resorting to underhanded tactics like trying to force the name of the proposition to change so it misleads voters.”
The article goes on to explain Proposition 56 and how it doesn’t just tax cigarettes but also vaping products as well which are… you guessed it… marketed to children.
This is an older article and I haven’t seen the follow up to it yet but I’ll do some digging to see what I can find.
